A Starting Thought

Just a beginning thought on homeschooling. One of the objections many people have (and I had this concern before I learned more about how homeschooling can be done) is this: Pulling a child out of a traditional school classroom setting takes away their ability to be prepared for the real world. A question to think about if this is a concern for you.

In what other real world setting do we put 25-30 children of the same age in a room for 4-6 hours with only 1 supervising adult and ask them to be quiet, sit still, listen and learn?
